I never thought in a million years that I'd wake up Sunday morning and see a legit trailer posted up for Kingdom Hearts IV.
After the third series installment and its ensuing DLC epilogue chapter came to a close, I figured the powers that be would move on from the action JRPG that's given them the license to mash up the worlds of Disney and Final Fantasy. But to my shock and awe, I locked eyes with a grown-up Sora lying on a couch and waking up from his slumber to engage in battle with a towering Heartless monster.
From the looks of it, Sora's going to be trapped within a realm that's similar to a real-world version of Japan. And it seems like Donald Duck and Goofy are making it their mission to retrieve him from that world and bring him back into their existence. I'm totally fine with that being the sequel's new main story thread but at the end of the day, I want to go perusing through a bunch of new Disney worlds with Sora in themed outfits and distinctive Keyblades within his grasp.
It's time for me to get into Disney's bag of intellectual properties and make a wishlist of worlds I'd love to hop into as Sora, Donald, and Goofy.
