'Mortal Kombat 1' Release Date: Story, Characters, and More
Release Date
Mortal Kombat 1 is slated to drop on September 14, 2023, for recipients of the game's Kollector's Edition and Premium Edition, while purchasers of the Standard Edition will be able to access the game on September 19, 2023. The pre-order bonus for all three editions of the game is access to Shang Tsung as a playable character.
The Kollector's Edition comes with the base game, access to the pre-order beta for either the PS5 or Xbox Series X|S, one-week early access to the game's extra characters (six playable and five "Kameo" characters), a Jean-Claude Van Damme skin for Johnny Cage, 2700 "Dragon Krystals" (which is in-game currency), a Fire God Lui Kang sculpture, coarse art prints, an exclusive steel bookcase, and a limited edition in-game color variant for Lui Kang. If you choose to go with the Premium Edition, you'll get access to the base game, access to the pre-order beta, one-week early access to the game's extra characters, a Jean-Claude Van Damme skin for Johnny Cage, and 1250 Dragon Krystals.
