Everything We Know About 'Genshin Impact' So Far

So what immediate “impact” is this game having? Well for starters, the game is already drawing comparisons to the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild classic released in 2017. One of the things separating Genshin from other RPGs is the fact that the game is free to play. This is a game that could have easily been sold for a smooth $50 or $60, however, miHoYo opted for the route of making the actual gameplay free, with in-game purchases. 

Adding to that, Genshin Impact is essentially an open-world map game with the ability to explore an endless amount of adventures and scenarios. As of now, there are 24 characters, with each character having a normal skill and a special skill that can be used. One of those skills is “cooking.” Like real life, “cooking” can be used to restore health and gain strength. Cooking also sometimes gives players an option for gaining special skills. 

With the ability to cross-platform as well, gamers are already looking forward to the next update which is scheduled to launch on October 12th. The update is currently rumored to have eight new characters. The biggest two are the introductions of Zhongli (a geo-based character) and Ayaka (a Cryo-based character) to the game. The possibility of another land is also being floated around. While nobody will know for sure until Monday, we will keep you posted on any new updates between now and then.
