For those of you out there who have been playing Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege since its 2015 inception, we salute you. What started out as a ho-hum entry in the tactical first-person shooter series eventually evolved into a highly rewarding multiplayer experience that's now jam-packed with enough content to keep players satisfied for even longer.
Ubisoft Montreal, which is the same development team behind Siege, is switching gears a bit with its next Rainbow Six project. And to make matters even more intriguing, this upcoming title will incorporate some very familiar faces from the studio's prior release. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction (which was previously known as Rainbow Six Quarantine) is moving away from competitive multiplayer to focus on co-op play with up to three players. And their mission? Eliminate the encroaching alien threat known as the "Archæan."
Before this PvE Rainbow Six spinoff title arrives on January 20 (and hits Xbox Game Pass on day one!), allow us to give you a primer on everything there is to know about Extraction.
