Never mind the fact that this year's E3 has been canceled - the latest installment of the Summer Game Fest and a bunch of participating publishers/developers have thrown on their Superman cape to fill the empty spot left behind by the annual video games convention. Sony gave the world one of its greatest State of Play presentations, Devolver Digital hit the ground running with eye-popping trailers for new indie games, and Geoff Keighley rolled out a bunch of exciting reveals for his own signature showcase. And now we're here to compile every trailer and piece of gameplay footage that hit our screen during this year's Xbox and Bethesda Games showcase. 'Redfall'
Arkane Austin's (Dishonored, Prey) co-op vampire first-person shooter got a proper gameplay unveiling that showcased its explosive gunplay and supernatural themes. Redfall takes place within an open world ruled by ferocious bloodsuckers and human factions that have turned their backs on the last remaining survivors. Players will get to choose a vampire hunter of their choice, master their associative skillset, and try to free the human race from the vampiric threat it faces in Redfall, Massachusetts. Redfall is coming to Xbox Game Pass on day one.
'Hollow Knight: Silksong'
The much-anticipated sequel to the indie smash hit called Hollow Knight is officially coming to Xbox Game Pass at launch. The series "Metroidvania" mechanics are back in full for this newfound journey through the haunted kingdom of Pharloom. Hollow Knight: Silksong looks like it'll be just as epic as its predecessor.
'HIGH ON LIFE'
HIGH ON LIFE comes from the inventive mind of Justin Roiland (Rick and Morty, Solar Opposites). This FPS comes with an expectedly weird premise where humanity is ravaged by an alien cartel that's only looking to utilize them as drugs. It's up to you to save your fellow humans and captured partner by taking the fight to that same alien menace with an armory supported by talking guns.
Riot Games + Xbox Game Pass (Mobile + PC)
Fans of Riot Games' titles or casual onlookers wanting to hop into them for the first time have some amazing news here. League of Legends, League of Legends: Wild Rift, Legends of Runeterra, Teamfight Tactics, and Valorant are all becoming available through Xbox Game Pass via PC and mobile. And to sweeten the deal, special unlocks will be provided across each game upon downloading them.
'A Plague Tale: Requiem'
The sequel to A Plague Tale: Innocence is still being prepped for a 2022 launch and it's known as A Plague Tale: Requiem. Grown-up versions of Amicia and Hugo escape the confines of their homeland, but must now confront a flood of new supernatural threats as they look to find peace upon a prophesized island. You can look forward to this one coming on Xbox Game Pass on day one.
'Forza Motorsport'
Xbox's signature racing simulator is returning in 2023 via the aptly titled Forza Motorsport. The world premiere gameplay demo provided by its developers focused on its striking visuals, improved car damage, and highly immersive racing feel upon each track this new racer features.
'Microsoft Flight Simulator - 40th Anniversary'
A newly expanded rendition of Microsoft Flight Simulator is on its way in November 2022. Microsoft Flight Simulator - 40th Anniversary will feature more content in the form of collaborations, such as one with the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. At the moment, you can hop into the base version of the game to gain access to the Halo Infinite Pelican.
'Overwatch 2'
The release date for Overwatch 2's PvP multiplayer component has finally been revealed - October 4 (Early Access). And what's even more shocking is the fact that it'll be a free-to-play experience that'll expectedly arrive with a wealth of fresh content. We also got a good look at a brand new female character named Junker Queen that'll be joining Overwatch 2's ever-expanding roster. The full reveal event for this sequel will go down on June 16 via the official Overwatch YouTube and Twitch channels.

Ara: History Untold is a brand new turn-based strategy game where your decisions will have a major impact on the way your world, legacy, and overall experience unfolds.
'The Elder Scrolls Online'
We got treated to a highlight reel of everything that's currently available in the online MMORPG, The Elder Scrolls Online.
'Fallout 76'
The ongoing content drops and expansions for Fallout 76 continue with the upcoming release of "The Pitt." This new piece of content is set to release sometime in September.
'Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels'
The open-world insanity of Forza Horizon 5 is getting even crazier with the announcement of a Hot Wheels expansion that'll include 10 new cars and the ability to create your own custom track layouts. This expansion is coming on July 19.
'ARK 2'
ARK 2 is set to provide a next-gen survival experience within a world full of dinosaurs, human tribes, and all sorts of unknown dangers. Vin Diesel will be a part of the game as an unnamed tribal warrior as evidenced by his starring role in this trailer.
'Scorn'
The horrifying FPS known as Scorn is finally coming out on October 21. Players will be forced to explore a nightmarish hellscape that contains biomechanical horrors that endanger your very existence.
'Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn'
Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn brings with it an open-world RPG experience that places you within the legendary City of Dawn. Gunpowder, gods, and magic lie at the heart of this upcoming 2023 release.
'Minecraft Legends'
The world of Minecraft is expanding ever more with an all-new game that adopts action strategy elements. Minecraft Legends will pit you against the invading "piglins," who set out to take over the Overworld. And it's up to you to combat their efforts. Minecraft Legends is set for launch in 2013.
'Lightyear Frontier'
Arriving in Spring 2021, Lightyear Frontier presents a pretty calming farming/survival experience where you're aided by a super helpful mech along the way.
'Gunfire Reborn'
This "furry" FPS, which is set to arrive in October, mashes up the trending gameplay elements of hero shooters and roguelites. Gunfire Reborn presents solo and four-player co-op gameplay within a cel-shaded world filled with all sorts of baddies to blast to smithereens.
'The Last Case of Benedict Fox'
The Last Case of Benedict Fox is presented as a "Lovecraft meets Metroidvania" action platformer. Its main character is a detective whose soul is bound to a demon companion. The main adventure at hand here revolves around Fox having to explore a dilapidated mansion in hopes of solving a murder mystery that focuses on a dead couple and their missing child.
'As Dusk Falls'
As Dusk Falls is a brand new interactive drama that features a unique art style that sets it apart from other games of its ilk. Across multiple characters, you'll impact their lives via a solo/co-op adventure that delves into the elements of betrayal, sacrifice, and resilience. As Dusk Falls is slated for release on July 19.
'NARAKA: BLADEPOINT'
The famed mythical, melee-focused battle royale game NARAKA: BLADEPOINT is coming to Xbox Game Pass on June 23.
'Grounded'
After being featured as an Early Preview title since its inception, Grounded is now set to exit that state and evolve into a full release in September.
'Ereban: Shadow Legacy'
Ereban: Shadow Legacy is an upcoming stealth platformer that's all about bringing the fight to an army of mechs as Ayana, who happens to be the last descendent of her seemingly deceased race.
'Pentiment'
As the Journeyman Artist Andreas Maler in the game Pentiment, players will navigate 16th century Bavaria via this interactive narrative trek through a period of social unrest.
'Diablo IV'
Diablo IV got a lot of time to show off what it's set to bring upon its 2023 launch. The cinematic trailer first shown off gave us all an inside look at the newly revealed Necromancer character class. Then we got a developer showcase for the game that covered its massive open-world, single-player campaign, PvP mode, endgame experience, and so much more.
'Sea of Thieves'
Sea of Thieves got some time during this showcase to debut all the new content set to come with its Season Seven update.
'Ravenlok'
Cococucumber, which is the development studio behind Echo Generation, is readying up its next project Ravenlok. This game puts players within a fairytale-like world that sees a young girl who's on the path to fulfilling a perilous prophecy.
'COCOON'
Jeppe Carlsen, the lead gameplay designer behind indie classics LIMBO and INSIDE, is ready to bring another memorable project to the forefront with COCOON. This top-down action/adventure game sees its titular main character navigate mystical worlds within worlds, which looks super trippy in action.
'Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty'
Team Ninja (Ninja Gaiden, Nioh) showed the world its latest foray into action-packed melee swordplay with the reveal trailer for Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. This upcoming dark fantasy action game is set within the Chinese Three Kingdoms period.
'Persona'
The beloved Persona JRPG franchise is finally making its way over to Xbox! Persona 5 Royal (coming to Xbox Game Pass on October 21), Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 3 Portable are the three main games in the series that were announced during this shocking announcement trailer.
'Starfield'
Bethesda's next major IP, the open-world space action RPG Starfield, ended this showcase on a high note with a 15-minute gameplay trailer. Bethesda's own Todd Howard stepped on stage to speak on all the lofty elements it's promised to bring in 2023. Those elements include space exploration, spaceship customization/dogfights, first-person gunplay, outpost construction, etc. Starfield takes place in the year 2330 and sees humanity travel beyond the stars as they discover new planets and try to make their living as spacefarers. Players take on the role of a space miner who sets out to be a part of that newfound trek through the galaxy.
