Every month in 2023, we've made a habit of recapping some of the most prolific music drops. Here's our music roundup that you know and love, August 2023 style.

Earlier this month, 1017 ALYX 9SM began rolling out their collaborative album, which features some of the most talented artists of our time. The brand made a unique choice to dedicate its time, energy, and money towards such a creative endeavor, and though it may be relatively early to say, it seems like it's paying off. This tasteful compilation project was curated by none other than Matthew Williams, the brand's creative director, and was distributed by Alamo Records.

First up in their rollout was a single with Ethel Cain, called "Famous Last Words (An Ode to Eaters)." This smooth, yet powerful indie track started things off properly, to say the least.

Next up to contribute to the project was Lil Yachty with his single "Warriors." This fun, energetic track was everything you'd hope to hear from a Yachty song, so it's fair to say he didn't disappoint.

You'll see if you pay close attention to this music roundup: August is proving to be full of surprises.
