It feels so incredible for us old heads to move on from the days of atrocious video game movies such as Double Dragon, Street Fighter, and Mortal Kombat: Annihilation into an age where quality video game films exist. Playing the Character of Young Link

In order for The Legend of Zelda movie to start off on a hot note, it must welcome viewers into the kingdom of Hyrule through the eyes of a Teen Link. Watching him handle some everyday farm chores and eventually witnessing some sort of cataclysmic event that awakes his heroic ways would make for a hell of an introduction sequence. Teenage actor Walker Scobell could definitely step up to play the part of the savior-in-the-making, especially since he's playing a similar role in Disney's Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. It'd be pretty cool to see young Scobell don the farmer getup that Link sported in Twilight Princess!

2. Timothee Chalamet

Playing the Character of Adult Link

Lord knows that The Legend of Zelda movie isn't going to feature a mute Link that doesn't utter a single word for a whole moviegoing experience. This means we're going to need a strong actor to welcome us to a version of Link that belts out more than battle cries and screams of agony. After watching him in action in Dune, we're assigning the most important role for this film to that movie's lead star. Of course, we're alluding to Timothée Chalamet! The young man has action movie experience, so it'd be cool to see him swing around that "Master Sword" during this film's epic fight scenes.

3. Hunter Schafer

Playing the Character of Zelda/Sheik

Now the second most important role that must be properly filled is that of Princess Zelda! What we'll need here is the type of actress who can portray a confident woman of royalty who's willing to fight right alongside Link to save her kingdom. We think Hunter Schafer could shock the world with the performance of a lifetime if she was chosen to become the iconic Zelda. Hunter certainly proved how good her acting chops were thanks to her roles in Euphoria, Belle, and The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes.

4. Karl Urban

Playing the Character of Ganondorf

Now we're handling our dream casting role for the movie's big bad, Ganondorf! The actor that has to step into this role has to be gruff, provide the sort of appearance that puts fear into the hearts of everyone watching him in action, and have the sort of booming voice that's befitting of such an iconic villain. The actor that comes to mind when we think about all those characters is none other than Karl Urban. We loved him as Skurge in Thor: Ragnarok, Éomer in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers & Return of the King, and Billy Butcher in The Boys. Urban has the perfect combination of gruffness and a demeanor that can give off evil vibes that'll make him pop off the big screen as big old Ganondorf.

5. John Rhys-Davies

Playing the Character of The King Of Hyrule

His voice is iconic and his roles in the Indiana Jones films have made it so! We have all the respect and admiration in the world for the upstanding gentleman known as John Rhys-Davies. John wouldn't look out of place playing the part of a proud king in a medieval fantasy world since he's starred in The Lord of the Ring movies as the lovable dwarf known as Gimli. We'd love to see John take on the role of The King of Hyrule to advise his daughter Link with a rousing speech on how to proceed in her efforts to save her people from the diabolical plans of Ganondorf.

6. Emma Watson

Playing the Character of Fi

If there's one recurring side character that would make for an exciting onscreen reveal, it would definitely be one of Link's most helpful companions and spirit guides. That individual happens to be Fi, the living humanoid embodiment of the "Goddess Sword" and the "Master Sword." Having the majestic Emma Watson step up to don Fi's alluring attire and bless Link with an inspiring English accent makes all the sense in the world to us. It'd be so cool to see Ema make her way from the magical realm of Harry Potter into yet another one that's befitting of her experience being in fantastical films.

7. Nathan Fielder

Playing the Character of Beedle

One thing is for certain - The Legend of Zelda movie is going to have some sort of comic relief. If it has to be a sole character tasked with bringing all the laughs, then we'd be perfectly fine with it being the lovable bug-loving shopkeeper named Beedle. There has to be a scene where Link runs into Beedle in order to re-up on all the items he needs for his ongoing trek across Hyrule to vanquish Ganondorf. We hope the shopkeeper he runs into is played by the hilarious Nathan Fielder. He certainly looks the part when it comes to Beedle's skittish demeanor and we're confident in his acting abilities to make audiences fall in love with his character once the credits roll.

8. Emily Kuroda

Playing the Character of Impa

Impa is another one of the franchise characters that has appeared numerous times and has morphed into a fan favorite. She might be old, but she has developed into quite a formidable warrior who goes out of her way to fight for the forces of good. It'd make for quite the hype moment if Impa popped up onscreen at some point to aid Link and Zelda as they beat up a gang of Moblins. So who should play the part of the elderly warrior? The lady who played Mrs. Kim on Gilmore Girls, Emily Kuroda! Emily could definitely get into her acting bag as a sage senior citizen who can hold her own when it comes time to do some fighting.

9. Salma Hayek

Playing the Character of The Great Fairy

The Great Fairy is many things - luxurious, alluring, and gleeful are the key factors that describe her many forms perfectly. Every time she pops in a Legend of Zelda game, we can't help but be overjoyed by her joyful personality and her varied designs. Speaking of character designs, we'd love for any one of the versions of the Great Fairies seen in Breath of the Wild to be the one that gets a starring role in The Legend of Zelda movie. Hopefully, the stunning Salma Hayek will be free to don the brightest makeup possible and throw on some "suggestive" clothing to look as close as possible to one of Breath of the Wild's cheerful Great Fairies.

10. Cate Blanchett

Playing the Character of Twinrova

Thor: Ragnarok reules for several reasons. It's funny as all hell, features one of the best intros in MCU history, and puts the awesome teamwork dynamic between Thor & Hulk on full display. Another reason why we regularly return to that movie is because of its truly terrifying main villain, Hela. Cate Blanchett truly stepped up in that film to present one of the most fearsome threats Thor has ever had to contend with. We'd pay good money to see Cate get back to her intimidating villainess side to play the role of Twinrova, who's the living amalgamation of the twin Gerudo witches who pretty much serve as Ganondorf's most dedicated servants. It'd make for a great action sequence if Sheik came to blows with Cate's Twinrova in a battle of Zelda's femme fatales!
