In case you haven't heard—there's a new Transformers movie coming out soon which means, it might be time to for a refresher on the franchise as a whole, the origins of which date back to the mega-popular 1980s toy line released by Hasbro. The toy franchise began in 1984, and was so well-liked that is spawned a comic book series that ran from September 1984 to July 1991, an animated series that was syndicated from September 1984 to November 1987, an animated feature film entitled Transformers: The Movie in 1986, and another television show popular amongst Transformer diehards called Transformers: Generation 2 which premiered in 1992. But when most of us think about the Transformer movies, in order, we're referring to those that released in the 21st century.
The success and popularity of the Transformers gang continued to grow throughout the 1990s and 2000s, leading to the Michael Bay-directed first live-action film in 2007. The next installment of this series, Transformers: Rise of the Beast, is due out on June 9th, 2023, and to get you ready, we're going to give you a guide on to how watch all of the Transformer films in chronological order.
