• Runner Up: Stefanos Tsitsipas

Death. Taxes. Novak winning the Australian Open. The current World Number One has won the tournament ten times and is a favorite to win again this year. Last year, he edged out a young star, Tsitsipas, in the finals in three hard fought sets.

• Runner Up: Daniil Medvedev

Rafa has won many-a major tournaments in his career, but Australian being a hard court tournament is not one he is known to dominate. Still, he had one of his two Aussie Open victories in 2022, defeating Medvedev, who heartbreakingly lost in the finals of the tournament two years in a row.

• Runner Up: Daniil Medvedev

The 2021 Australian Open was Daniil Medvedev's first appearance in a Grand Slam final, and despite a competitive first set, Novak went on to dominate the next two sets to win his ninth Aussie Open in three.

• Runner Up: Dominic Thiem

Novak was a defending champion in the 2020 Tournament. Many tennis fans were happy to see Dominic Thiem in the finals after he lost in his first two Grand Slam finals the pervious two years at the French Open, but unfortunately 2020 was still not going to be his year for his first win. That said, he put up a great fight against Novak, bringing the match to six tough sets.

• Runner Up: Rafael Nadal

Djokovic began his three year streak of winning the Aussie Open in 2019 -- and he had to beat veteran Nadal to do it. He defeated Rafa in three sets.

• Runner Up: Marin Cilic

Like Nadal, Federer has plenty of Grand Slam wins, but he's only won the Australian Open twice and they happened to be back to back. In 2018 he defeated Cilic in five sets.

• Runner Up: Rafael Nadal

Anyone who considers themselves a tennis fan was thrilled to see a matchup between Nadal and Federer in the 2017 Finals. The two have a lot of respect for each other just as we all have a lot of respect for the two of them. Federer and Nadal went back and forth in the Finals, but ultimately Federer prevailed in five sets.

• Runner Up: Andy Murray

The 2016 finals was an exact re-match of the finals the year prior with Murray and Djokovic going head to head. Unfortunately for Murray, the results were the same as in 2015 as he lost in three sets, though the last two of those sets were hard earned wins for Novak that went down to the wire.

• Runner Up: Andy Murray

Surprise! Another Aussie win for Novak. In 2015, he defeated Murray in four sets.

• Runner Up: Rafael Nadal

Tennis fan favorite Stan Wawrinka won his first career Major title in 2014 -- and he defeated none other than Rafael Nadal in order to do so. Wawrinka won in four exciting sets.
