Today, we're continuing our World Cup preparation with Group C, where Argentina headlines the foursome.

Which Teams Will Play in Group A?

Argentina enters the World Cup as one of the favorites after going unbeaten during South American qualifying.

Mexico didn't look its best throughout qualifying, but the Concacaf side always turns it up at the World Cup.

Poland will be able to compete as long as they have Robert Lewandowski, who continues to shine in Europe.

Saudi Arabia has reached the knockout phase once in its World Cup history, and they'll aim to shock many people in Qatar.

Who's the Favorite?

As long as Argentina has Lionel Messi, they'll be a major player in any international competition.

The South American side won its first Copa America title during Messi's storied career in 2021, and now they aim to translate that success to the World Cup stage.

Argentina hasn't won a World Cup since 1986, when Diego Maradona led them to victory.

Messi and Co. currently boast +600 odds to win the World Cup, only trailing fellow South American side Brazil.

Lionel Scaloni's side is currently on a 35-match unbeaten run, and they could break the international record if they get out of the group stage.

Players to Watch on Every Team

Argentina - Enzo Fernandez

The Benfica midfielder has taken Europe but storm since joining the club from River Plate this past summer.

Fernandez is dynamic on the ball and thrives in possession by picking out brilliant passes for his teammates.

Mexico - Edson Alvarez

The Mexico midfielder has drawn lots of attention during his time at Ajax and nearly made a move before the summer transfer deadline closed.

Alvarez anchors the Mexico midfield and will be a huge part of whether or not El Tri can thrive in Qatar.

Poland - Nicola Zalewski

Roma's young left-back was actually born in Italy but has always represented Poland at its youth levels before the national team.

Zalewski has become an important part of Jose Mourinho's Roma side and could be one of the young players that can now influence Poland alongside the nation's biggest stars.
