Wales Bonner and adidas have joined forces once again for another edition of their lauded collaboration that only seems to be picking up steam as they do more. Once again, Grace Wales Bonner dives into her vast archival knowledge of the 70s and 80s for the collection. More specifically, the designer draws upon her research of music and photography of Burkina Faso, focusing on the individuality and creative expression of the region.

Wales Bonner Continues Her Hot Streak with adidas for SS22
The Wales Bonner adidas '22 collection is here
This collection brings back everyone's favorite from the inaugural collection, the WB Samba, as well as a newly introduced athletic jacquard knitwear. The footwear in the collection this time around continues to build upon the name Grace Wales Bonner has already made for herself, with signature material choices and added details like her famous crochet stitches. The vast majority of the collection centers around a warm, sunset-like palette full of reds, yellows, and pinks, both muted and rich.
It wouldn't be a Wales Bonner project if it didn't have tracksuits, and this round's offering definitely did not disappoint. We've received two different colorways, the first in a bright, cadmium red, while the second is heavily inspired by the 70s, full of multicolored panels in an array of yellow, beige, and brown.
This newest collection couldn't have arrived at a more perfect moment, as Wales Bonner's collaborations seem to be finding a stronger foothold within mainstream fashion. The Samba, which has been seeing insane success of late, undoubtedly contributes fuel to the flame as Wales Bonner releases pristine editions of the sneaker. On top of all of that, it's become clear that this is going to be a blokecore summer, making this collection a must have this year. Find the Wales Bonner adidas collection globally tomorrow, June 4 via adidas' Confirmed app and select retailers.
