When is 'Loki' Season 2 Coming Out? Everything We Know

As we said, Loki has collectively been our favorite shit starter since his introduction by way of 2011's Thor. Portrayed by Tom Hiddleston, we were supposed to hate him, but we wound up doing the opposite, and now we have a full-blown series that has quickly become beloved in the heart of Marvel lovers (or even just Loki lovers for that matter). Make no mistake, this is a relationship that has gone on for over a decade, and it's not ending anytime soon as far as we're concerned.

You can expect for Loki Season 2 to arrive on the streaming device of your choice on October 6th, 2023 via Disney+, which continues as part of series creator and lead writer Michael Waldron's overall deal in the platform. Still no word yet at the time of this writing if we're getting a two episode season-premiere, but that confirmation should be coming rather soon seeing as though we are less than a month out.

Ah! The Big Question! We are now technically in Phase 5 of the MCU with the release of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania which means two things—if you haven't already, now might be the time to watch the aforementioned, and... that Season 2 of Loki is going to officially fit into the Phase 5 arc. Don't worry, you've still got some time to catch up!

Season 1 of Loki ended with the major cliffhanger of with Loki approaching the TVA organization heavily referenced throughout the season, and finding out that the org is being ran by a variant of Kang the Conqueror that is a stranger to everyone. This, of course, comes after the murder of He Who Remains (Jonathan Majors), the nice version of Kang by Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino), who has also gone missing, which in turn has shaken the MCU up big-time.

Of course, we've got Tom Hiddleston leading the pack as Loki, alongside Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Owen Wilson, Eugene Cordero, Wunmi Mosaku, and Tara Strong all returning from Season 1. There's also going to be the addition of Jonathan Majors to the cast, but it's still TBD how much screen time he's going to be getting exactly.

Series creator Michael Waldron actually wasn't on lead writing duties for Season 2 as his hand's are currently tied up. Don't worry though, the show is in good hands with co-producer Eric Martin taking over the writing duty reigns. Writers Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead (Moon Knight) also served as writers for Season 2.
